Reus Airport To Callefel

Hello Gary
Hope you can provide a bit of guidance.
We're looking to book an apartment for May/June 2007 with Villa Service and are hoping to fly RyanAir Liverpool to Reus.
They'll be 2 families travelling, 4 adults and 4 children. What's the options for transfers from Reus to Calafell? I've priced a 8/9 seater minibus booking through Resporthoppa or a similar site and this came out at £290 return, based on booking next month. How do you think this sounds. I thought it a bit pricey as it doesn't look far on the map!
Do you have any other contacts or ideas? We're not totally price driven but I don't want to be ripped off.
Any comments as well on the resort or the operator would be appreciated as I'm not familiar with either.
Look forward to your response
Kind Regards

Hi David
That amount seems huge, it's only 47kms!
I just checked with Shuttle Direct">Shuttle Direct who we recommend and it is coming out at a similar amount, crazy!
I can't believe that a normal taxi would be more than €50 each way and you would need 2 taxis (for 8 people), this would get the bill down to around €200 return (130 pounds). I can't confirm this info though!
I was at Reus a few months ago and there are always taxis waiting for the planes to arrive so I wouldn't worry about not getting one, getting back to the airport would mean finding a local taxi company at the other end but again this can't be that difficult.
You could probably hire a car and drive yourselves for cheaper, I just checked with Hertz and holiday autos and they aren't offering minibuses but big Renault Espaces etc from about €400 per week (275 pounds)
I know that with kids it's so much easier to just be meet by a waiting driver so if I were you I would call Shuttle Direct and check the prices: Call this number they speak English: (+34)966.830.699.
Let me know what happens so that we can pass on your experience to other travellers
Regards
Gary

Hi David
I had a thought, checked it and it works!!!!!
Go to Shuttle Direct then go to the advanced search, put in the details but do a taxi for 4, the price comes out at €80 each way, per taxi!
I think this is because of the type of vehicle needed for 8 people and the type of drivers etc. It's best therefore to book 2 seperate taxis for 4 people.
Regards
Gary
