Barcelona Airport Transport

Hi Gary,
Hope your well.
I'll be travelling to Barcelona next week, arriving at Barcelona (BCN) and staying at Aparthotel Atenea Barcelona. Which stated from their website is located in Joan Güell Street, right next to Diagonal Avenue, at the very heart of the city's commercial, financial and business area.
I was wondering if you'd be able to help me, do you know the best public travel route from the airport to the hotel, or do you have a good taxi firm that you could recommend to us.
Thanking-you in advance for your help.
Cynthia.

My REPLY

Hi Cynthia,

I was in Barcelona a few months ago and if you havent been before it's a great City, Culture, Food, Shopping, Weather, Beaches, it's got the lot!

I found that the Public Transport systemwas pretty good and you can read more about using it, and links to metro maps etc here:

http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/barcelona-airport-trains.html

If you want to pre-book your own private taxi at a reasonable rate then I would recommend Shuttle Direct who offer good prices and a safe online booking system.

I hope this helps and that you have a great time.

If when you get back you could let us know how you got and which method you used that would be great, that way we can help other people in the future.

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,
Hope your well.
We had a great time in Barcelona, your right it is a great city.
When we arrived in Barcelona we decided to take a taxi from outside the airport which took us straight to our hotel. On our way back to Barcelona we thought that we would try public transport.
We took the metro to Sants Estacio, but unfortunately there were problems with the trains so we had to take a airport bus to the airport, but the journey was quick and we found the staff to be helpful.
Next time we go to Barcelona, we'll definitely use public transport again, as apart from all the stairs, it's easy to use and was really good.
Thanks again for all your help.
Kind Regards,
Cynthia
