Alicante Airport passenger numbers are down

The AENA (Spanish Airport Authority) have just released some figures that show passenger traffic at Alicante Airport in decline for the first time ever!

Although the % in decrease is small at just 3% for January and February the potential numbers invovled are huge. A 3% drop is equvialnt to around 30,000 passengers per month!

The biggest drop in passengers has been the number of people arriving from the UK, this has had the knock on effect of moving Easyjet off the top spot and replacing it with Spain's national airline Iberia
