Ryanair Baggage Allowance

I just read an article that says Ryanair are about to charge people for every bag that they check in.

Ryanair have said that they will be charging €2.50 per bag for every bag a passenger checks in.

For those passengers who want to check in bags that weigh more than 20 kgs there will be an excess baggage charge of £5.50 per kilo

Ryanair hope that the move will mean that they will be able to reduce the overall cost of their tickets by making the move.

Trimming airport and handling costs will save Ryanair more than £20 million ($35.8 million) over the current financial year, the company said.

I think that this move will encourage us to be more careful on what and how we pack. How many people go on holiday with a suitcase full of clothes only to return home without wearing half of it!
