Cancelled Flight Refunds

Have you ever not turned up for your flight?

Did you wonder if you could possibly get some kind of refund even on cheap non-refundable, non-exchangable tickets?

Last year it happened to us, due to illness we didn’t use our tickets, but buying cheap tickets through Easy Jet we just let the money go and didn’t think of trying to get some kind of refund.

However, a couple of weeks ago, on BBC2´s “Working Lunch” programme, they brought to light “why should we pay the airport tax if you don’t use the airport”. With around 5% of tickets being “no-shows” that’s a lot of money floating around. So, if for some reason you are unable to fly, you can at least claim back some of the tax you have paid on your tickets, which these days, is often more than the ticket itself.

Some airlines do charge a fee for the administration of making a claim and prices vary. For further information visit: The Working Lunch Website
