Buying a home near a Spanish Airport

If you’re thinking about buying a property in Spain at the moment it may be worth waiting until April 6th 2005. From that date you will be able to hold residential property within a Sipps pension.

The actual rules are still a little unclear but it looks like Spanish property will be an acceptable form of investment along with odd things like fine art, classic cars and even diamonds.

I believe that if you are seriously thinking about investing your pension money in a holiday home then it would be wise to consider how close it is to any of the Spanish Airports.

You also need to consider how many airlines fly in and out of the airport. If you are relying on just one airline and that airline closes the route you could be left high and dry!
